I transformed at about 10:30 once while being only 1/0 by just fighting with my top laner against a tanky 1/0 Cho around the 9-10 min mark and the fight took like 30 seconds or more. It is way more faster for your passive if you come in when enemy is at 100% and do good dmg to him as compared to coming when he is low and get a kill on him almost instantly, also the way it is set up it's currently way easier to transform into Darkin as most tanky champs are melee than it is to transform into SA - as sustained fighting against melees is way easier (squishies either kill you faster, run away easily or die instead) so you get more orbs for your passive against melees. Watch what happens with the next runes reforged, they keep on saying they are going to try and promote choice, but in the end, EVERYONE is going to min max that shit just like they min/max the current masteries now.ītw the passive is not based on KILLS/ASSIST participation but dmg done instead. Intentionally making it harder is just being annoying. To transform at 4 mins into the game you need to do around 12000 damage lol.Įdit: When i say hate when they do this, i mean i hate it when people try to withhold information to prevent min maxing, people are always going to min max, and have brains, people will work out the best way to build in games like it or not. The bottom of the bar also takes the longest to fill up for some random reason. This is why you will almost never see a kayn transform before 10 mins (You can get 8 if you are in top lane). His orbs gain more charge the longer the game goes, so constant combat in the early game (1-5 mins) is far worse than constant combat at later in the game (10+). I hate it when people do this, not like people are going to work it out anyway. What do you think? How could this be clearer? If Kayn spends 1.5 consecutive seconds not in terrain, this effect ends early. Maximum duration when in-combat with champions: 1.5s When he first enters terrain, he is healed for XX (+XX) ] and the MS bonus is increased to 70%]. Kayn gains 40% MS, ]slow immunity], and the ability to walk through terrain for (5-9) seconds. It lies about Assassin Kayn getting slow immunity outside of walls (which he DOES but the tooltip makes it sound like he doesn't), it lies about the additional MS persisting after leaving walls (which it DOES, but the tooltip makes it sound like it doesn't). While in terrain, Kayn gains slow immunity and his movement speed bonus is increased to 70%. When he first enters terrain, he is healed for XX (+XX) and the duration of this effect is extended to (5-9) seconds. Kayn gains 40% movement speed and the ability to walk through terrain for 1.5 seconds. If at any point you enter combat (as always, with champions), we set your remaining E duration to the lower value between current remaining duration and 1.5s (so we cut it down to 1.5s if you were above that, and don't touch it if you were below that). If at any point we find that it's been 1.5s or more since you've last been in a wall, we drop the effect entirely. The moment you enter a wall for the first time, we set your MS buff to the higher MS (70%).Įvery 0.25s we check how long it has been since you were last in a wall. If not, the duration is set to 5-9s (by rank). If at this point you are in combat, the duration is set to 1.5s. So the moment you press the button, you get the baseline MS (40%) and slow immunity, if you're Shadow Assassin. For base and Darkin, ignore everything to do with higher MS and slow immunity. I'm going to use Shadow Assassin Kayn as the example here because he is the more complex case. Now, here's my full, way too verbose description of what goes on with the E (focusing on durations). We're very happy with what it does in the game. I want to create a better version of it, and I'd love your help!įirst of all, to set constraints: we're not talking about changing the way the E works. I'm the gameplay designer who worked on Kayn and I wrote the current tooltip (with plenty of input from others, but it's my confusing word salad in the end of the day).
