The "New Council Home" would be 10 acres owned by the Columbus Club. In May of 1951, the property known as "5115 Little Falls Road" became our new home with occupancy in August of 1951. Washington Boulevard was purchased to become our new Council Home. Charles School Hall remained the Council Home until 1931 when the Columbus Club Association of Clarendon, Inc (later changed to the Columbus Club of Arlington Inc.) was established when a building and property at 3227 N. Today there are nearly 16,000 councils of the Knights of Columbus in the world with close to 2 million Brothers strong, dating all the way back to the founding date of March 29, 1882. The number "2473" means that we are just that, we are the 2,473rd council to be formed in the world. In August 2020, the Knights of Columbus changed our name, temporarily to "Arlington Council 2473" until we decided on that faithful name to carry us into our second century.
